Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the GooHom mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the Philippines to use GooHom. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

You create an account by signing in with Google or Facebook and giving us a valid Philippine mobile number. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under it. Notify us immediately at support@goohom.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Post only genuine service requests
  • Provide accurate descriptions of the work or service required
  • Honor bookings you confirm
  • Treat providers with respect
  • Pay the agreed amount as specified in the booking

GooHom is a marketplace platform and is not a party to any agreement between clients and providers.

5. Provider Responsibilities

As a provider, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information in your profile and quotes
  • Deliver services as described and agreed
  • Complete identity verification
  • Comply with all applicable Philippine laws and regulations, including business registration requirements
  • Treat clients with respect and professionalism

Providers are independent contractors and not employees of GooHom.

6. Identity Verification

Providers must submit a valid government-issued ID and a face photo for verification. Submitting false or fraudulent documents is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account suspension and referral to law enforcement.

7. Prohibited Conduct and Content

You must not:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Post false, misleading or fraudulent requests, quotes, listings or reviews
  • Post content that is obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, threatening, or that promotes violence or the exploitation of anyone
  • Harass, abuse, threaten or discriminate against any user
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are
  • Attempt to bypass the platform to transact with users you met through GooHom outside the app (fee circumvention)
  • Scrape, copy or redistribute App content without permission
  • Introduce malicious software or attempt to gain unauthorized access

8. Reporting, Blocking and Enforcement

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on GooHom.

You can report a user, a message or a listing from inside the App, and you can block a user. We review reports and may remove content, warn, suspend or permanently ban accounts, and report unlawful conduct to the authorities. Provider accounts may also be suspended automatically after repeated no-shows or consistently low ratings.

9. Payments and Fees

Payment terms are agreed between clients and providers. GooHom is not responsible for payment disputes. Any platform fees or subscription costs, if applicable, will be disclosed separately and agreed upon before charges are made.

10. Ratings and Reviews

After a completed booking, both clients and providers may leave reviews. Reviews must be honest and based on your actual experience. GooHom reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks and software in the App are owned by or licensed to GooHom. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without our prior written consent.

12. Disclaimers

GooHom provides a marketplace platform and does not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of services offered by providers. We do not endorse any provider. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, GooHom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data, income, or damage to property resulting from services booked through the platform.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the App.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Continued use of the App after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
